Paul House
Paul House was convicted in 1986 of the murder of Carolyn Muncey. In 2006, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that House would not have been convicted if DNA evidence had been available. A judge subsequently ordered a retrial or immediate release.1
House, who remained on death row awaiting his October 2008 retrial, was released on June 2, 2008, after an anonymous donor posted his $100,000 bail.1
