NHL Career

Eaves was drafted out of Boston College, 29th overall in the 2003 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators. After college he played with the Binghamton Senators in the American Hockey League for 18 games, then made his NHL debut with the Senators in 2005. He missed 28 games during the 2007-08 season, then returned to the team and was quickly traded to the Carolina Hurricanes on February 11, 2008.
