Pasta Salad is typically any type of
salad consisting primarily of
pasta.
Whichever type of pasta is chosen, it is cooked and often tossed together with mayonnaise. Pasta salad usually consist of pasta, mayonnaise, mustard, onions, celery, and salt and pepper to taste, mixed together and served cold.
Similar as a meal compliment to potato salad and cole slaw, pasta salad is often prepared as a side dish at barbecues and potluck dinners.
