Pasha Grishuk

Guide Note:Pasha Grishuk (born Oksana Grishuk) is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in ice dancing from Russia. Grishuk won the medals in the 1994 Lillehammer games and 1998 Nagano games while competing with fellow ice dancer Evgeny Platov.

In late April 2008, Grishuk claimed that someone had placed the "date rape" drug Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB) into her drink while attending a business meeting at the posh St. Regis Monarch Beach Hotel in Orange County, California.

Grishuk's career has been marked by her dominance in the sport during the 1990s, as well as personal controversy. Grishuk split in 1998 with her ice dancing partner and fellow two-time medalist Platov and began competing with Sasha Zhulin. Platov joined up with Maya Usova who had herself split with partner and husband Zhulin.

Grishuk was so often confused with figure skater Oksana Baiul, with whom she shared a first name, that she changed her professional name to Pasha in 1998. Fast Facts:
