parsley is a common garnish and can also be used to flavor virtually any savory dish. Parsley is a popular additive to
soups,
salads and sauces, and goes particularly well with
fish.
There are over forty varieties of parsley, of which two are commonly used in the kitchen, curly leaf and flat leaf. The flat leaf variety is more flavorful and aromatic than the curly leaf.
