Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is an actress, singer and model who achieved fame in the early 21st century appearing on The Simple Life. The great-granddaughter of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton, Paris Hilton is widely written about and discussed in celebrity gossip publications and television shows. She has been mostly recognized for her extensive partying and ignorance about cultural mainstays, such as Wal-Mart.

Hilton has had an on-again-off-again friendship with her Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie. In 2005, Hilton severed ties with Richie for an undisclosed reason. When asked about the incident, Hilton replied that Richie "knows what she did." In late 2006, the pair reconciled and agreed to do another season of The Simple Life.

Don't Bother Me, I'm Modeling

In 2005, Hilton stirred controversy with a commercial for fast food chain Carl's Jr. in which she appears eating a cheeseburger while wet and soapy on a black car. The Parents Television Council expressed anger at the commercial's content, but Hilton did not apologize and told those protesting over the commercial to "get a life."
