Palin on Abortion
Sarah Palin, the running mate of Republican presidential hopeful John McCain, is pro-life on the issue of abortion. In 2002, she called herself as "pro-life as any candidate can be."1 Without backing from this stance, she told Katie Couric in 2008 that she believes that there are well-intentioned people on both sides of the abortion debate.2
