Okami
Ōkami is an action-adventure role-playing game developed by Clover Studio and published by the Japanese video game giant Capcom. The game is set during an unknown period in classical Japanese history with players controlling a reborn sun goddess named Amaterasu as she journeys to obtain the powers of the celestial brush and restore balance to the world by defeating the eight-headed demon, Orochi.
Game Story and Setting:
Okami takes place during unspecified period of Japanese history and draws much of its inspiration from various Japanese myths and folklore. . Its graphic design is unlike any other game to date with a unique mix of cell shaded graphics seen frequently in comic books and Japanese traditional art. Okami also features one of the most critically acclaimed musical soundtracks, rivaling those of Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda. The entire collection takes up five disks and is available for purchase separately.
Gameplay
Amaterasu can use a variety of attacks and weapon combinations, many of which can be learned at training dojos found throughout the land or bought from merchants, to fend off her enemies. The most unique feature in the game, however, is the celestial brush, which players can use to draw different attacks on the screen using the analog sticks.
