Barack Obama arrived in Iraq on July 21, 2008. The visit is part of a tour of the Middle East and Europe that began on July 19, 2008.1 Obama'a first stop was Afghanistan where he met with Hamid Karzai on July 20, 2008.2
In Iraq, Obama is expected to meet with General David Petraeus and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.3
