O.J. Simpson Celebrity Apprentice

According to PageSix.com former football star O.J. Simpson has asked Donald Trump if he can appear on his reality television show Celebrity Apprentice next season. NBC and Trump are reportedly considering the request, but are acting with caution because of the celebrity's controversial reputation.

Simpson Controversy

O.J. Simpson was found not guilty for the murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. Despite the acquittal, there is considerable forensic and circumstantial evidence against Simpson, and public opinion still favors him as the man responsible for the deaths. In 1997, He was found liable for Brown and Goldman's wrongful deaths in civil court and was ordered to pay $33.5 million in restitution. Simpson has since written a book named If I Did It based on the first-person account of the night the murder took place. The book was removed from the shelves because of its controversial nature, however the Goldman family acquired the rights to the book and had it published. Simpson was recently arrested in connection with an alleged holdup of a sports memorabilia dealer at the Palace Station Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas.
