Features

In addition to the eight megapixels, the S520 includes a three times optical zoom as well as several other functions. The optical VR image stabilization feature is designed to reduce image blur and also compensate for a shaking camera. The Face-Priority AF technology can recognize several faces while correcting the red-eye reflection issues at the same time. The S520 also comes with D-Lighting to smooth out lighting conditions by improving brightness and image detail.

Reviews

CNET was not impressed with this model, giving it a score of only six out of ten and commenting that the screen is underwhelming, but calling it a good bargain. PC World in Australia gave the S520 three and a half stars out of five, citing good image quality and a simple interface, but docking points for sluggish behavior and noisy images at higher ISO settings.
