- 1894: Born April 17th
- 1941: During the Great Patriotic War, he served with the equivalent rank of Lieutenant General
- 1940's: working as an ardent Stalinist, carrying out Joseph Stalin's orders with uncritical obedience, he earned the nickname the "Butcher of the Ukraine"
- 1940-91: During the period called the Cold War, where there was conflicts, tension and competition between Soviet Union and the United States
- 1953: After Stalin's death there was a power struggle, Lavrenty Beria came in power but several joined with Khrushchev and over threw him from power.
- 1953-64: Khrushchev became First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union
- 1958-64: He became the Premier of the Soviet Union
- 1959: President Richard Nixon made a visit and took part in what would become the Kitchen Debate
- 1960: Disrupted the United Nations with his out burst and pounding fist on desk
- 1961: He approved plans proposed by East German leader Walter Ulbricht to build the Berlin Wall
- 1962: The Unites States saw from spy plane over Cuba that the Soviet Union was building Missile bases.
- 1962: President John F. Kennedy and The United Nations threatened with them to get missiles out of Cuba
