Nicholas Evans
Nicholas Evans is the author of the best-selling novel The Horse Whisperer. Evans and his family became ill after eating poisonous mushrooms, a variety nicknamed "Destroying Angel," which they had picked near where they were vacationing in Scotland. Evans, his wife, her brother and sister-in-law suffered kidney damage and were hospitalized.1
