Nexi
Nexi is a new robot developed by the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The robot uses the MDS platform, which stands for Mobile, Dexterous and Social, according to Cynthia Breazeal, who is the main project researcher. The robot can display a wide variety of facial emotions, such as when it is happy, mad, frustrated, any many other emotions. Nexi can also move objects with its arms and four wheels. Nexi comes equipped with the standard sensors and institutional reactions and is controlled remotely from a networked computer. These sensors will help detect where Nexi is and help the robot move around without the aid of a human.
