The Navigon 5100 is a powerful automotive GPS (Global Positioning System) that includes a number of navigation tools that go beyond providing basic driving directions.

The 5100 features included lifetime traffic services as well as a lane tracking assistant to improve navigation functions. Also included are restaurant ratings and reviews from Zagat and a unique 3D Reality View mapping system. The unit itself contains a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen that is less than a half-inch thick and can be mounted on a windshield and turned for optimal viewing.

Amazon customers were impressed with the swiveling windshield mount, but described the 5100 as better looking than working. CNET liked the many features, but wished that the viewing screen was larger. Newegg customers were disappointed with the traffic tracking system and reported difficulty understanding the voice commands, which often mispronounced common words.
