Singer Natalie Cole admitted in July 2008 that her past drug abuse has resulted in her contracting Hepatitis C.1
On September 12, 2008, Natalie Cole was again admitted to a hospital in New York City for recurrence of symptoms associated with her Hepatitis C diagnosis.2
After being diagnosed with the disease, Cole was administered anti-viral medications by doctors at UCLA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Cole reportedly suffered side-effects including muscle aches and fatigue from the treatment. According to her doctors, Cole was virus negative upon her release.1
