Story
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is set in the dark Mortal Kombat universe, referred to as “the Realms.” In past Mortal Kombat games, powerful warriors have fought in large-scale tournaments in order to determine the ruler of the Realms. However, the warriors have grown far too powerful, and their collective energy threatens to the completely destroy the Realms. In order to stop this, the “Elder Gods” create a character called Blaze, a powerful being capable of wiping out the warriors and halting the destruction of the Realms. All of the fighters must compete in order to reach the top of Blaze's pyramid, and prove that they are the most powerful fighter.
Gameplay
Mortal Kombat Armageddon is a gruesome fighting game, in which you select one of 62 playable characters and battle them through a huge martial arts tournament. Each character has a set number moves, or combos, which are performed by entering in a specific button combination. Fatalities (series-signature gruesome finishing moves) have returned in Mortal Kombat Armageddon, though the system has switched to a create-your-own-fatality feature. Another notable customization feature in the game allows you to create your own fighter, using a wizard where you design their face, hair color, statistics and other variants.
