More Cowbell

"More cowbell" is a popular catch phrase which came from a comedy sketch on Saturday Night Live. The sketch was a parody of the VH1 show Behind the Music in which the band Blue Oyster Cult is recording their song titled Don't Fear the Reaper. The sketch featured Christopher Walken as music producer Bruce Dickinson and Will Ferrell as fictional cowbell player Gene Frenkel. The sketch first aired on April 8, 2000 and has since been considered one of the best SNL sketches of all time. Fast Facts:
