Monica Goodling
Monica Goodling was a top aide to former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. In a report released by the U.S. Department of Justice on July 28, 2008, Goodling is reported to have violated federal law and Justice Department policy by favoring job applicants who were Republicans and conservative.1 The report does not say if Goodling will face criminal charges. Justice investigators say that bar associations have inquired about the report's findings, which is an indication that she may lose her license to practice law.2
