Mind Habits Game
The
Mind Habits game, created by
McGill University researchers, is designed to decrease players'
stress levels and help them to foster a more positive outlook on life. The game employs American Psychology Association-tested tools that help to shift players' attention away from
anxiety about perceived criticism so that they can focus on social affirmation.
According to the MindHabits website, "the software teaches people to look for the smiling/approving person in a crowd of frowning faces. By doing this repeatedly and as quickly as possible, this trains an automatic response of looking for acceptance and ignoring rejection."
