Milt Thompson
Milt Thompson is the hitting coach for the Philadelphia Phillies. He played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball for six different teams from 1984 to 1996. In 1993, Milt Thompson played in the World Series with the Phillies. He participated in a second World Series Championship in 2008 as member of the Phillies coaching staff.1

Major League Baseball Career
Milt Thompson began his Major League career with the Atlanta Braves in 1984. He went on to play for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies before retiring as a player in 1996.1 Thompson finished his playing career with a .274 batting average, 1,029 hits and 214 stolen bases. He had a season high 150 games played and 159 hits in 1987.3 From 1997 through 2002 Milt Thompson coached in the Tampa Bay Rays organization as well as the Phillies minor league system. He returned to the Major Leagues in 2003m and has been the Phillies hitting coach since 2004.1
Career Highlights
Milt Thompson played in the 1993 World Series when the Philadelphia Phillies played the Toronto Blue Jays. During that series, he set a Phillies record with five runs batted in in game four.1
