Mike Peterson
Mike Peterson is a middle linebacker playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League.
On November 7, 2008, Peterson returned to the Panthers after being sent home by coach Jack Del Rio for two straight days. The reason for the punishment was "insubordination".1

NFL Career
Mike Peterson was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 NFL Draft. After playing four seasons with the Colts, Peterson became an unrestricted free agent and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Peterson played in every game until tearing his pectoral muscle on October 8, 2006 against the New York Jets, ending his season. A year before his injury, Peterson recorded 131 total tackles, including 6.0 sacks and four interceptions.2
On November 3, 2008, Peterson was sent home by Jaguars coach Jeck Del Rio. Peterson reportedly had been insubordinate following a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.4
