Mike Jones Trae Fight
Rappers Mike Jones and Trae got into a fight at the Ozone Awards, a hip-hop awards show in Houston, Texas, on August 11, 2008. The fight started in the backstage area and security quickly arrived to separate the rappers. Witnesses claim that the two were talking when Trae suddenly hit Mike Jones. Mike Jones spoke on the radio station 102 JAMZ shortly afterwards and said that after a conversation with Trae, Trae reappeared behind him and hit him. Mike Jones claimed Trae hit him as a "publicity stunt." Trae spoke to the media the same night, but did not address who started the fight.
