Career
After attending LaGrange High School in LaGrange, Georgia, the Chicago White Sox selected Cameron in the 18th round of the 1991 amateur draft. After four years in the White Sox farm system, Cameron made his major league debut on August 27, 1995. Cameron played four seasons with the White Sox, before they traded him to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for Paul Konerko. After one year in Cincinnati, the Reds shipped Cameron, Jake Meyer, Antonio Perez, and Brett Tomko to the Seattle Mariners for Ken Griffey Jr. In 2003, Cameron left Seattle and signed a free agent deal with the New York Mets. The Mets traded Cameron to the San Diego Padres for Xavier Nady on November 18, 2005. After two seasons with the Padres, Cameron signed with the Brewers as a free agent.1
On November 3, 2008, Cameron's option with the Milwaukee Brewers was exercised. Cameron will receive a contract worth $10 million dollars and return to the Brewers in the 2009 Major League Baseball season. in 2008, cameron hit .243 win 25 home runs and 70 runs batted in.2
