The Loss of a Legend
In November of 2006, retired U of M coaching legend Bo Schembechler passed away the morning after his much-anticipated annual pre-
Ohio State game speech to the team. He ended the address by reminding players of their top priority: "The team, the team, the team!" Schembechler had coached the team from 1969 to 1989, leading them to 13 Big Ten titles and a 194-48 record.
