Michelle Riley

35 year old Illinois resident Michelle Riley has been charged in the January 31, 2008 death of Dorothy Dixon. Investigators allege that Riley had moved in with Dixon, a developmentally delayed woman who was a client of the center Riley worked for, to take advantage of her and physically abuse her. Allegedly, she lived with Dixon, cashed her social security checks, and subjected her to treatment that authorities have described as torture. The coroner has concluded that the abuse of Dixon, whose immune system was weakened due to her being six months pregnant, led to her death. Also accused are Riley's friend Judy Woods, who allegedly hit Dixon in the head with a blunt object the night before she died, Riley's 15 year old daughter, LeShelle McBride, and Leshelle's friends, Benny Wilson and Michael Elliott. Riley's 12 year old son has also been charged.
