Michelle Moor
Boston lawyer Michelle Moor unknowingly ingested the anti-seizure medication Tegretol at her former employer's office holiday party. She has filed a discrimination complaint against the Boston law firm Bingham McCutchen, challenging their lack of investigation into her complaint that she had been drugged by an employee of the company. Moor also alleges that a male employee stated at a company dinner that he enjoyed having sex with women after giving them date-rape drugs and the firm did not investigate or take action on those comments.
A second associate admitted to being drugged and raped the previous year by a Bingham associate but did not report it to the company for fear of losing promotion opportunities.

The Law Firm Responds
Bingham McCutchen claim that they held an "appropriate and thorough investigation" but were unable to confirm that an employee of the firm was responsible for the drugging. They state that they responded by furnishing safety training for their employees. A later report by Bingham states, "The firm believes that at all times it acted diligently, responsibly and fairly in connection with information it received, including gathering relevant facts and conducting an appropriate and thorough investigation."
