Too Costly
Virginia Commonwealth's Attorney Gerald Poindexter says with Vick and his co-defendants serving out their federal sentences in other states bringing them to trial before those terms are up "isn't worth the expense."1 Poindexter says law enforcement officers would have to escort Vick and the others to and from the state trials to their various prisons in Kansas, New Jersey and Oklahoma.1
Vick co-defendant Tony Taylor has finished his sentence and has been released from prison. His state trial was expected to begin on July 26, 2008.2
