- April 20: Vick's cousin Davon Boddie arrested for narcotics; led investigators to the home property
- April 25: Law enforcement discovers evidence of dogfighting on Vick's property
- May 9: Vick puts the property on the market asking $350,000, less than half of its assessed value
- July 9: Federal agents return to Vick and remove evidence
- July 17: Federal Grand Jury hands down indictments to Vick and 3 associates
- July 23: Commissioner Roger Goodell orders Vick not to attend training camp pending league review
- July 26: Vick pleads not guilty
