Early Life
Michael Wesley Redd was born on August 24, 1979 in Columbus, Ohio. He attended West High School and then continued his education at The Ohio State University. Redd played for three seasons with the Buckeyes basketball team. In 2000, he was selected with the 43rd pick in the NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.2
Pro Career
After several productive years in Milwaukee, Redd's breakout season came in 2002. Redd finished second in voting for the the Sixth Man of the Year Award to Bobby Jackson and also finished second in three point percentage shooting for 2002. In 2003, Redd was elected to his first All-Star Game, and in 2006, he was named to the United States national basketball team.3
