Michael Gargiulo
Michael Garguilo, an air conditioning repairman in Santa Monica, California, has been linked to the murders of three women. Gargiulo has been in jail since June 2008, on a separate knife attack charge. A profile screening through CODIS matched his DNA to the stabbing death of 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin, who was Ashton Kutcher's former girlfriend. Authorities suspect he was involved in the 2005 stabbing of a Monterey Park woman and the 1993 killing of a teenage girl named Tricia Pacaccio of Glenview, Illinois.1

Ashley Ellerin
Ashley Ellerin was found stabbed to death in her home in Hollywood, California, in February 2001. The DNA taken on the scene matched that of Gargiulo.4
Tricia Pacaccio
18-year-old Tricia Pacaccio of Glenview, Illinois, was returning home in the early morning hours of August 14, 1993, when she was attacked on her doorstep. She was about to unlock her door to enter her family's house. It was reported that the DNA sample taken from under her fingernail matched the profile of Gargiulo in the CODIS database.1
Charges
Michael Garguilo was charged with the murders of Ashley Ellerin and Maria Bruno on September 4, 2008. According to reports, Gargiulo's DNA was a match with his victim's. Gargiulo denies the allegations against him saying that he was not involved in the murders.5 6
