He broke Carmelo Anthony's record for freshman double-doubles with a 23 double-doubles for his freshman year compared to Anthony's 22 double-doubles.¹

Beasley has two brothers, Leroy and Malik, and two sisters, Mychaela and Tiffany. His parents are Fatima Smith and Michael Beasley Sr.¹
