Mia Kirshner
Mia Kirshner is a Canadian television and film actress, as well as writer, who hit mainstream fame with her role as Jenny Schecter on the hit Showtime series The L Word. Kirshner recently finished a book called I Live Here about the life stories of women and children refugees from Mexico, Chechnya, and Malawi.

Early Career
One of Kirshner's first roles was as a dominatrix in the 1993 film Love and Human Remains. The role garnered her a Genie nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. The year after she was cast in Exotica by Atom Egoyan. In 2001 Kirshner hit the television screen appearing on the hit show 24 and by 2004 was cast in the Showtime series about a group of lesbians in Los Angeles called The L Word. While on the series, Kirshner took a big screen credit in the 2006 Brian De Palma film The Black Dahlia.
