Guide Note:In Meeting David Wilson, African-American journalist David Wilson recounts the genealogical odyssey he undertook in search of his past. During his journey, in which Wilson seeks to understand the relationship between the legacy of slavery and the state of the black community in the United States in the 21st century, he encounters another David Wilson, a descendant of the man who owned his ancestors as slaves.
