Medical School

A Medical School is a post graduate institution that prepares students to become physicians. Subjects covered include human anatomy, immunology, neurology, genetics, pathology and biochemistry.

After a student graduates from medical school he or she will take on an internship to continue their training. Once their internship has been completed a residency at a hospital is the next step in the education process. A residency is completed under the guidance of a licensed doctor. Following a residency a fellowship is perused. During a fellowship, a physician trains in a specific and specialized field such as immunology or cardiology.
