McDonald's 3Q Earnings
Guide Note:McDonald's announced Friday (October 12, 2007) that its third-quarter earnings will exceed the Street's estimates. This confidence in the company's performance comes after another month of strong sales. Global sales from established stores (restaurants open more than a year) rose 5.9% in September, led by an impressive 12% gain in its Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa division. Domestic same-store sales rose 3.5%, marking the 54th consecutive month of increased profits. The company's estimates 89 cents a share in the third quarter, while analysts are estimating a more conservative 77 cents a share.
