Scandal
In late March of 2008, The News Of the World reported that Mosley had been videotaped in a sado-masochistic orgy with five prostitutes. The scenario was particularly disturbing to Jewish groups because the orgy reportedly contained Nazi themes. Mosley subsequently sued the tabloid for invasion of privacy. Testifying in court July 2, 2008, he defended his actions, saying that the orgy was not the Holocaust-fantasy scenario depicted by the article.1
Controversial Family
Complicating matters in the orgy scandal was Mosley's family background. His father, Oswald Mosley, was head of the British Union of Fascists. Adolf Hitler himself was a friend of Mosley's parents, and was a guest at their wedding.2 Throughout his adult life, Mosley has been vocal in distancing himself from his father's views.2
