Maura Murray
Nursing student Maura Murray vanished near Haverhill, New Hampshire, on February 9, 2004. The 21-year-old Murray's abandoned car was found crashed into a tree. Reports said Murray declined help from a bus driver who stopped to ask if she needed assistance. By the time police arrived just minutes later, Murray was gone. Murray's family and friends have continued to search for her in the years since her disappearance.1

Murray's Disappearance
According to police, Maura Murray e-mailed her professors shortly before she left school, claiming there had been a death in her family and letting them know she'd be absent for a few days. Family members say there was no death in the family. Murray's case was not initially treated as an abduction, because authorities saw no signs of a struggle when they located her car. A massive search was eventually launched, with searchers using helicopters, tracking dogs and ground teams to comb the area around Murray's vehicle. Murray was never found.1
