Matt Nathanson

Matt Nathanson is a San Francisco-based folk-rock singer/songwriter, known as much for his music as for his deft on-stage comedic banter.

After recording four independently released albums, Nathanson was signed with Universal after his cover of "Laid" was featured on the American Wedding soundtrack in 2003. But shortly after releasing Beneath These Fireworks that year with Universal, he was dropped from the label, and the album went unnoticed as a result.

Songs off Nathanson's 2007 album Some Mad Hope have been prominently featured in various TV shows. Songs like "All We Are," "Little Victories," and "I Saw" were used in episodes of One Tree Hill, NCIS and Scrubs, thereby exposing his work to a larger audience.
