Guide Note: A musical adaptation of the 1985 film Mask premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse in March, 2008. Mask chronicles the life and early death of Rocky Dennis, a boy born with a rare bone disorder which causes severely disfiguring facial and skull deformities. The original film starred Cher, Eric Stoltz, Sam Elliott and Laura Dern, and was directed by Peter Bogdanovich.
