Marvel Legends
Marvel Legends are a line of collectible, action figures developed for Marvel Comics. Toy Biz began producing the toys in 2002, with Hasbro taking over in January of 2007. More than twenty waves of figures exist, featuring characters from the world of Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man and Iron Man.1
Deals have been made to include specific figures as exclusives to stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, and Toys R Us. These toys usually are variants of figures available on the open market. The one exception is the 2006 Giant Man line, which was only made available at Wal-Mart. The line consisted of an Age of Apocalypse Weapon X (Wolverine) and Sabretooth, Ant-Man, Kitty Pryde, Warbird, Sentry, Havok, Thor and Captain Britain.
San Diego Comic-Con has been the recipient of exclusives as of 2007. Stan Lee and She-Hulk figures were made with interchangeable pieces, which transformed Stan Lee into Spider-Man and She-Hulk into her lawyer persona. The 2008 Comic-Con will sell exclusives of Silver Samurai, Fin Fang Foom and a Ka-Zar, Shanna and Zabu the Sabretooth Tiger Box Set.
