Everlyse Cabrera has been missing since June 10, 2006. She had been placed with foster parents
Vhee and
Manuel Carrascal who reported that she climbed up on a stool, unlocked the door, and walked outside in the middle of the night. Her parents,
Marlena Olivas and
Ernesto Cabrera have filed a civil suit against the Carrascals and their adult son,
Melvin Balane for Everlyse's disappearance.
