Mario Kart Wii Fall Boost
When a player goes out of bounds, either by falling into a pit, going into deeper sand or going into water, a player's game stops. The player is re-inserted into the game by Lakitu. The moment a player drops onto the track, a player can earn a boost to gain the speed lost. A player can earn the boost by hitting the acceleration button the moment the kart or cycle touches the ground. There is no penalty for not receiving the boost.
Gameplay
Mario Kart Wii is similar to previous installments of the game. Each character has a special item that they can receive and you can play on both old tracks as well as new ones. There are 32 tracks in total. There is also the option of choosing a motorcycle rather than driving in a regular go-kart. Unlike previous installments, the Mario Kart Wii offers online play allowing you to play against your friends in regular racing mode or battle mode. Another difference is the midair stunt feature that you activate by a flip of the Wii Remote. You can now perform 360-degree spins, which gives you a speed boost if the trick is landed.
