Maria Frances Lauterbach
Maria Frances Lauterbach, a 20-year-old Marine who was pregnant, was found dead on January 11, 2008. Her body was discovered near Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. A superior officer, Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean is considered a suspect. Lauren, who apparently fled North Carolina to avoid prosecution, was found wandering in Mexico on April 10, 2008, and arrested. He is being held in Mexico and is expected to be extradited to Onslow County, NC, to face murder charges.1
