Marge Simpson

Marge Simpson (nee Bouvier) is a fictional character from Mat Groening's long running animated series The Simpsons. Marge is the extremely tolerant wife of Homer and patient mother to Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

Marge is easily recognized by her towering, blue beehive in which she has had a bird's nest, a chicken, several pacifiers and a cat. Though Marge is modeled on a stereotypical sitcom mother and despite her frequent displays of naïveté she often takes the high moral ground with staunch determination.

Not always satisfied in her role as stay-at-home mom, Marge has had her share of jobs including working as a Springfield police officer, a cook in an erotic bakery, nuclear plant worker, pretzel maker, bodybuilder, tradeshow model, bartender activist and novelist. Julie Kavner is the voice of Marge Simpson.
