Guide Note: Mama Rock's Rules is a book written by the actor Chris Rock's mom, Rose Rock.

In addition to raising 10 of her own children Rose Rock also took in 17 foster children. In total she has had over 40 years of parenting experience which she puts to good use in this book tackling sometimes sensitive parenting issues. It is broken into 10 different lessons, like "I Am Your Mama, Not Your Friend," which helps parents become the authority figure one more and to build a respectful relationship with their children. Another topic tackled is "Don't Lie Down with Anything You Don't Want to Live with Forever," which deals with the topic of sex.

Throughout the book you will also find memories of her own children as they grew up in the Rock household.
