MacWorld That Was
Two Macworld Conferences & Expos were originally held each year. One was traditionally held during January in San Francisco. The other event was held during the summer in either New York or Boston. Apple refused to attend the 2004 and 2005 expos in Boston, which led to lost revenues for the organizers, IDG World Expo. IDG announced in 2005 that MacWorld would no longer be held on the East Coast.1
