Lost Planet Extreme Condition Walkthrough Introduction

This guide will help you complete all of the missions in Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. It has been written from the perspective of a PC gamer, but the control advice is generalized for all versions. We have also included all of the information on how to find the target markers in each level.

Weapons

Machine Gun

  1. This is the good old machine gun.
  2. You'll have one available in almost every mission.
  3. There is always a lot of ammunition available for it.
  4. It isn't a great gun, but it isn't bad.
  5. Just keep shooting and pound away at your enemies.
  6. Tip: It is particularly good for hitting weak spots on Akrids.

Shotgun

  1. This is a shotgun.
  2. I can't say much else.
  3. It does a lot of damage and is great for damaging Dongos and Chryatis.
  4. You can also use it to blast groups of weak enemies like Sepia and Trilids.
  5. The bad news is that your ammo is limited and it is usually hard to find.
  6. I enjoy using it, but usually toss it aside for a rocket launcher or an energy gun later in the mission.

Rifle

  1. This is a sniper rifle.
  2. You really won't see many in the game and there's a reason for that.
  3. They aren't that good.
  4. Each shot does a lot of damage and you can look down the scope for better accuracy.
  5. The ammo is too scare and the rate of fire is pathetic.
  6. It is only good for specialized combat against VS users and the occasional boss.
  7. Tip: The best use for it is to snipe the pilots out of their VS. It is possible to land a headshot and then steal their VS. That makes a few fights easier.

Rocket Launcher

  1. This should be pretty obvious to anyone who's played a game.
  2. It deals a lot of damage but ammo is really scarce.
  3. Save it for boss fights and enemy vital suits.
  4. Tip: Make sure that you reload after each shot. You will not do it automatically. There isn't much worse than lining up the kill shot to stop and reload.

Energy Gun

  1. You will love it or hate it.
  2. This can fire charged bursts of energy or a bunch of weak shots.
  3. You need to have a bit of T-Eng to use it though.
  4. Each shot uses a point or so of energy, but the drain shouldn't matter at all if you just collect the dropped T-Eng.
  5. The shots will have homing abilities that hit anything.
  6. This makes it really useful for run and gun missions against humans and for those annoying Trilids.
  7. It can usually knock humans down, too.
  8. The weakness is that it can't be used specifically against weak spots.
  9. All of this is overshadowed by the fact that a fully charged shot can knock the pilot out of a turret or a VS.
  10. You then have a VS to use for the rest of the level.
  11. It is a good alternative for many Akrid levels and I usually use it for the mid-mission areas along with a machine gun.

Plasma Gun

  1. This is the best gun in the game.
  2. It has the power and scope of a rifle with the benefits of the energy gun.
  3. It only uses a little bit of T-Eng with each shot, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
  4. The good news is that it can be used effectively at close range against human targets.
  5. Just a few rounds will kill anyone.
  6. It also has high penetration against VS opponents.
  7. About 10 shots will be able to kill any VS if you don't just snipe the pilot.

Grenades

Hand Grenade

  1. It is a normal hand grenade.
  2. You'll find a lot of these.
  3. Just use them against groups of enemies or use them to destroy spawn points.
  4. The only benefit is that they're a lot of them.

Gum Grenade

  1. It's a sticky grenade meant to stick to VS's.
  2. That's about it, though.
  3. It has a timer delay and a reduced throwing range.
  4. This means that you'll be up close and personal with a VS before you can use this.
  5. There are far better options than this somewhat scarce grenade.

Plasma Grenades

  1. You'll start finding these from NEVEC soldiers as you get about halfway through the game.
  2. It's big draw is a freezing effect on the enemies in the blast radius.
  3. They aren't that effective though.
  4. The only bonus is that they do some damage against the enemies.
  5. I say stick to hand grenades if you have the choice.

Disc Grenades

  1. These are incredibly rare.
  2. They are thrown outward in a straight line, like a Frisbee.
  3. This means that you basically have an extra few rockets to use against your enemies.
  4. If they weren't so rare, they'd be pretty useful.

VS Weapons

  1. I'll just note that VS weapons can be picked up for use on foot.
  2. Grabbing one drops the weapon you have.
  3. If you switch, you'll drop the VS gun.
  4. You cannot move while you are shooting or reloading.
  5. The damage isn't actually that great.
  6. My advice: just use them in the VS.

VS Gatling Gun

  1. This is just a fancy machine gun.
  2. It is good for all around use against small enemies and the weak spots on Akrid bosses.
  3. Just watch your ammo.
  4. It is possible to dual wield Gatling Guns. I suggest you use this for inflicting devastation on Akrid bosses.

VS Shotgun

  1. It's a really big shotgun.
  2. It isn't that great for Akrid and the ammo runs out quick.
  3. It is incredibly useful for VS boss fights though.
  4. A shot to a VS from close range will practically destroy it.

VS Rocket Launcher

  1. Just a bigger rocket launcher.
  2. The ammo difficulties really glow here.
  3. It is also much harder to accurately aim.
  4. Akrid bosses aren't too vulnerable to rockets unless you land a direct hit in a weak spot.
  5. They are good against VS's though.

VS Grenade Launcher

  1. It is basically a rocket launcher that fires a fragmenting rocket.
  2. It is one of the only good weapons to use on a foot as well.
  3. The range is rather limiting though.
  4. At close range it is still devastating though.
  5. It is good for Akrid and VS bosses, since the spread damage should hit all the weak points while inflicting massive damage.

Laser Rifle

  1. It's just the VS equivalent to the energy gun.
  2. The ammo just knocks an irrelevant amount of T-Eng off.
  3. You can charge a shot to do more damage.
  4. The bolts are slow though, so it will only be useful against boss level enemies and VS's.

EM Rifle

  1. A slower but more powerful version of the Laser Rifle.
  2. Not much special about it.

Homing Laser

  1. It is a rare weapon that you won't see until the end of the game.
  2. The cool factor is that you can hold down the fire button to get a lock on about 4 different targets.
  3. When you shot, it will hit all of them with somewhat weak lasers.
  4. It is good for your fights inward, but useless in the boss fights.
  5. The lasers are too weak and they usually ignore weak spots.

Enemies

  1. These are in basic order of appearance.
  2. Bugs: These are the annoying little akrid that come from the hives throughout the game. They have very little attack power and die from a few hits. They start to shoot fireballs in the later levels, but they're just as weak. The only dangerous variant are the red, explosive ones in the last few levels.
  3. Chryatis: These are tougher. They basically look like praying mantises. There are big versions and bigger armored versions besides the little ones at the start. They can all sweep at the ground with their feet, and the armored versions can shoot rocks. They all die the same though. Shoot out their legs and blast the tail to finish them off.
  4. Dongos: The dongo is that annoying akrid you that's technically your first enemy (I don't count the prologue for this though). There are bigger versions later on, but nothing really changes. They both can roll forward as an invulnerable ball and they can use the pincers to hit you. Dodge it's roll attack or use a shotgun/grenade to stagger them. Then just shoot the tail until they die.
  5. Trilids: Annoying little pests. The only danger is that they can knock you off a bridge into lava occasionally. If you look at them wrong, they'll die. Still blow up their hives to be free of them.
  6. Spores: These are just stalks that pop up from the ground. They turn red and launch missiles in all directions, but they can't aim. Stay low to dodge and then shoot the head enough to kill it.
  7. Bees: Bees are powerful, but they present their big weak spot in every attack. They can launch various elemental attacks and ram you into a wall in a "stinging" attack. Just dodge any ramming attack and kill them quickly with some well placed rounds in the gut.
  8. Balloon Akrid: For lack of a better name, they're balloons. They have no real reason to exist other than as an annoyance. Their only offensive attack is to spawn mini-balloons which explode on contact. Shoot them from a distance to avoid the dying blast.
  9. Scorpion: A somewhat powerful later enemy. They can deal a lot of damage, but they are easy to kill. Just shoot up the orange band on their tail to make them flip over. Then shoot the weak spot on their belly.
  10. Snow Pirates: They're a joke. Just shot them a few times with any gun you have. A head shot is an instant kill.
  11. NEVEC Soldiers: A better armed joke. They're annoying in a group, but the AI is so bad that they amount to nothing more than target practice and a source for plasma rifles.
  12. Enemy Vital Suits: These aren't too hard. If you have a VS, you just need to use whatever weapons you have to counter them. Dodge their fire and counterattack. If you're on foot, use a rocket, grenade, plasma grenade, or plasma rifle to destroy them.
  13. Tip: A fully charged energy blast will just knock the pilot out of the VS. In other words...Free VS.

General Tips

  1. Watch your T-Eng. You don't want to ever run out. VS's really use up a lot of power.
  2. Be careful when picking up weapons for your VS. You may accidentally just eject from your VS. Make sure that the weapon choice is in the little blue box above the weapon you want to replace.
  3. Don't forget that you can rip a weapon off of a live VS to attach to another VS. This lets you build a perfect model.
  4. You don't take any damage when getting in or out of a VS. This should come in handy during boss fights.
  5. Don't forget about the energy gun's ability. That full charged blast will knock the pilot out of any non-boss VS.
  6. Remember to crouch behind cover when analyzing a situation.
  7. Pick up all the ammo that you can.
  8. Activate any data post that you see. It's a free burst of T-Eng. I may not mention all of them in my walkthrough, unless you'll really need T-Eng.

The Beginning

  1. This is basically just a tutorial.
  2. Follow your friend and do what he does.
  3. Use your grappling hook to climb the wall and then jump down on the other side.
  4. When you emerge from the room, you'll see your first Dongo.
  5. The soldiers will basically teach you about weak spots.
  6. Help them out by shooting the orange spot on its tail.
  7. When it dies you can collect the T-Eng if you want.
  8. Move through the door and start fighting the Trilids.
  9. You will learn that it is best to ignore the little buggers and just kill their little hive to stop the spawn.
  10. Move forward a bit more and activate the data post.
  11. This will trigger the Green Eye.
  12. Just start running after your partner.
  13. Move up the ramp and across the bridge quickly.
  14. Use your grappling hook to get up a level when your partner does.
  15. Climb into the VS at the end.
  16. You are now supposed to fight Green Eye.
  17. This is pointless though.
  18. Just start shooting at him.
  19. Once he does enough damage to you a cutscene will play and the level will end.

A World of Ice

  1. This is a fairly easy mission.
  2. Jump into the VS ahead and start destroying the nearby storage tanks. Pick up the thermal energy for later.
  3. Tip: Keep your distance. The debris can hurt you.
  4. Move forward in the VS down the cliff line and turn to the right.
  5. There are two Akrid bug hives here. Bugs are a joke if you're in the VS. Fire straight through them and destroy the hives with your Gatling.
  6. Move through the little arch and wait for chryatis to rise up.
  7. These are also a joke if you're in a VS. Shoot off one of its arms and blast the weak spot on its belly.
  8. Jump out of the VS and grab the shotgun up ahead. Equip it and walk through the little door to the parking garage.
  9. There are five bug hives up ahead. Start shooting and blow up all the explosive barrels now while you're at a safe distance. This prevents any accidental explosions later.
  10. The explosions will kill most of the bugs and damage the hives. Chuck a few grenades ahead to destroy them.
  11. A few shotgun blasts will eliminate any surviving hives.
  12. Active the data post in the center for a nice boost to your T-Eng, and then head out.
  13. Walk through the snow and obey the little prompt to dig through the snow bank. A rocket launcher is lying in the little pile by the destroyed fence.
  14. Walk forward into the warehouse and quickly destroy the bug hive. One big chryatis falls through the skylight, and then it's time for a mini-boss fight.
  15. Use the same tactics you used before to kill this one. Blow off one arm and then the other quickly. If you get overwhelmed, take cover in the rafters. The grappling hook can take you up to the top of any of those metal towers. You're safe here, but you also don't have much of a shot.
  16. Once both arms are shot off, carefully move around and shoot the tail a few times to kill it.
  17. Shoot the barrels by the closed doors at the far end. They'll fall off and open a passage to the next area.
  18. Three dongos wait in the field ahead. The game expects you to have a tense gun battle against the three akrid in this tight area. That's just a waste of time and ammo.
  19. Run through the area and use the grappling hook to pull yourself to the ledge ahead. Use the data post and start moving up the incline ahead.
  20. Another dongo will roll down, but it usually just falls off the ledge. Keep moving and trigger the rock slide. Run back and take cover behind a rock to the right. You may also shoot the boulders and break them up before they hit you.
  21. Once the rockslide is over, keep moving forward. There's one dongo up ahead. Dodge the dongo once and blast the tail with a machine gun blast.
  22. Once it's dead, move up further and reach the little tunnel. Two waves of trilid will burst out. You can shoot them if you want, but it's easy to just let them pass by.
  23. Run into the cave and wait for the transition to the next part.
  24. Run down and start thinning out the trilid up ahead. Try to blow up the two spawn points on the bridge.
  25. Get past the Gatling and swap out the rocket launcher for the energy gun. Just start firing. The energy pulses will find a trilid.
  26. Take cover behind the data post and quickly access it for a T-Eng boost.
  27. The trilid through the next part aren't much of a threat if you just keep moving. Their only attack will miss if you keep moving. Just keep running and gunning down the next bridge.
  28. Once you make it to the end, jump down to the ledge on the right.
  29. Note: You can shoot the eggs for more T-Eng.
  30. Move to the right and use everything you have. Use the energy guns and grenades to blast the spawn points and kill the bugs and trilids.
  31. Access the data point at the end for one last boost, then walk down the web bridge into the heart of the hive.

Dongo Boss

  1. This is basically just a big dongo. He has three attacks. He does the standard roll, a larger roll up and around the hive, and a reach attack with his pincers.
  2. Jump into the VS to the left. It has a good Gatling on it. Grab another Gatling for the vacant arm. Dual Gatlings are quick strong against this one.
  3. It has two weak spots. The tail is incredibly weak and the little red spines on top are a little weak. Attack whichever one is open.
  4. Other than that, it's pretty simple. Dodge the roll attack and blast the tail with everything that you got.
  5. The only hard part is when the dongo rolls all the way across the top. This drops boulders all across the area. They're really hard to dodge, so just watch your health.
  6. If you lose one VS, there's another in the arena. Run across and make the switch.
  7. Once the dongo's health runs out, just watch him do a last roll and break apart.
  8. Mission Accomplished.

Stronghold Assault

  1. Start off by moving into the street.
  2. Shoot some of the cars to get a shotgun and more machine gun ammo. You'll need it for the fight up ahead.
  3. Move into the big open area and get ready to fight a lot of dongos. I counted about eight. Just keep running around them to blast their weak tails. They die very easy. The shotgun will also cripple a number of them from the front. With the shotgun and the machine gun, it's an easy fight.
  4. Access the data post and move forward again to find two dongos and a chryatis. You should know how to kill them by now. Another chryatis is ahead and to the left. Arms then belly. Turn to the right and access another data post. Also blast the tanks to stock up on T-Eng.
  5. Shoot the slimy tunnel and go through the opening. Blast the eggs for more T-Eng.
  6. Come out the other side and spot all the trilids up ahead. Start shooting them out of the sky. Clear them out a bit and then blast the metal door off of the garage to the left. There's a VS inside.
  7. Use the VS and it's dual Gatlings to blast through the wall of trilids. They are incredibly weak if you use a VS.
  8. Keep moving and you'll spot the first of the snow pirates. They are incredibly easy. There AI isn't very good and they usually just have machine guns for now.
  9. Kill the chryatis first. Shoot out the arms and then the legs. Then shoot the two snow pirates.
  10. Turn another corner for another chryatis battle. Be careful though. Two pirates with rocket launchers are in the tower at the end. Use the dual Gatlings to break them down. Kill the chryatis if they fail to do so.
  11. If your VS is badly damaged, you can switch out here.
  12. Turn the corner to the left and blast another tower with a rocker launcher. This is it for your VS.
  13. Jump out and start clearing out the building. Start shooting the snow pirates in your way. They only have machine guns, so it shouldn't be too tough.
  14. Use the grappling hook to work your way up the ledges. Aim for the very lip of the edge to pull yourself up to the top.
  15. Climb onto the bridge at the end.
  16. There's another VS up here. This is the bike model. If you want, you can just connect with your inner Dukes of Hazzard and jump the series of ramps. I'm terrible at driving so I just wrecked it in a pit and had to take the whole level on foot.
  17. It's basically just a long series of platforms with snow pirates. Just keep moving. If you have the VS, use the Gatling gun to clear them out. The only tough ones are the pirates with rocket launchers on top of the crates. Keep moving forward and wipe them out as you go. There's a rifle near the end. Grab it and clear out the end platform.
  18. When you make it to the end, one big VS jumps out. The game expects a climatic battle against this behemoth. I declined. Just use the grappling hook to jump onto the train car at the back. Jump over and run through the tunnel.
  19. You should now be in the rail tunnel. This is basically the same as the bridge. Just run and gun through the pirates. You may run down the right side on the walkway if you wish. You can also work your way up to the upper walkway. It provides a lot of cover and lets you skip a lot of the pirates.
  20. The only tough ones are at the end. Five are waiting with rocket launchers and shotguns. Use grenades or rifles to kill them.
  21. Turn right and move through the tunnel. Go down the steps and out into the snow.

Crimson Unity Base

  1. You're at their base now. Time to start shooting. Pick up the rifle ammo and use the machine gun to blow up the barrels ahead.
  2. Run up the path and kill all the pirates along the path. Don't let the explosions bother you. They are usually harmless.
  3. Keep up the path until you get to the building at the top. Start killing pirates and clearing the area. Use the grappling hook to maneuver to the top.
  4. This is a great spot for sniping. You should have a lot of rifle ammo left. Try to snipe the VS pilot and the turret gunner in the field across from you.
  5. If you can, pick off the other turret gunner high up the path. I couldn't get an angle on him though.
  6. Once the next area is clear, move toward the field through the bunker.
  7. There's a lot of explosions, but you can just ignore them.
  8. If you sniped the pilot, jump into the VS and use the dual Gatlings to clear out the remain turret and all the pirates. Jump out of the VS and claim the two data posts in the area. Once you're ready, walk up to the door to access the final fight.
  9. Note: You cannot take a VS in here. You have to start out on foot.

Pirate Boss

  1. This is just one big VS fight and it's actually pretty simple.
  2. Jump into the nice VS to the right. It has a Gatling and a shotgun.
  3. My tactics were a bit kamikaze. There are two VS's to start with. Just start pounding one with the Gatling, close to point blank range, and blast them with the shotgun until they explode. Rinse and repeat.
  4. Tip: Use the hover and jump abilities to move around and dodge some of their Gatling fire.
  5. The rocket VS will now show up. The only difficult part is that it jumps a lot. Just repeat the same tactics until you blow it up. If you lose the VS, grab another one or fight with a rocket launcher.
  6. Not much else to say.
  7. Once the rocket VS is dead, you win.

Crossing the Plains

  1. I really hate this level. There I said it. Just struggle through it.
  2. If this is your first playthrough, just run through the whole thing. Grab the data post ahead and keep running. You don't need the T-Eng from the trilids unless you're going to fight the worm. I'll explain that later.
  3. Don't bother taking a VS. They just break apart from the tremors on the plains.
  4. Run out and ignore the first worm. Just keep an eye on the worm while running straight forward toward the wreckage at the back.
  5. If the worm rushes you, get out of the way. It's an instant kill attack. Other than that, just keep running and shooting any trilids that bother you.
  6. Move forward and dodge another worm.
  7. Italic text*YouTube: Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Mission 03 Boss (Time: 3:26)

  8. Get to the fenced area and you're home free. Move ahead to the damage building and walk to the side for a cutscene.
  9. It's just a VS fight, but it seems to be randomly hard or easy.
  10. Jump into the VS. It has a Gatling and a rocket launcher. Start chipping away at the other VS with the Gatling and hammer it with the rockets. It's own rockets aren't very tough. Unfortunately, it has a super-powered laser beam that will take away 3/4 of your health. If it hits you, you're staggered and get hit two more times in an attack that about wrecks your VS. You can win it on foot, but it's hard.
  11. The secret is to jump and hover when she fires the laser beam. You should be above it. Then just hammer away and win quickly before she uses it again.
  12. The level is over.

Worm Battle

  1. This is the guide to kill one of the worms. The only reason to do this is for the Xbox 360 achievement.
  2. Note: PC players have absolutely no reason to fight this difficult battle. It's not even that cool. It's a battle of attrition.
  3. You first need to hit all the weak spots on both sides. It's a little spotty from here on out. Some have had to fire a rocket into the worm's mouth to kill it. Others have just burst all the bubbles.
  4. Note: Don't stray far from the first plain. Another worm can spawn in a new location if you do.
  5. The worm has three attacks.
  6. The first is that it will rise up head first and roar. It then digs forward and tries to eat you for an instant kill attack. Jump to the side and then shoot the weak spots on the side.
  7. The second attack has it rise up head first and roar. It then launches a path of rocks forward. It does a lot of damage if it hits you, but it's easy to dodge. Circle around and start shooting.
  8. The third attack has it rise up tail first and shoot missiles. This is the best attack for you. Get close and blow up all the weak spots. Most of the missiles will just fly right past you.
  9. It does a little lurch and falls over when it's dead. The other worm will still spawn and if you hang around long enough, a new worm may respawn.
  10. You won't get the achievement until the end of the level, so finish and check.

Mountain Route 1

  1. This is a bit of a breather from the last annoying level.
  2. Start moving through the little valley. One giant moth flies over about once a minute and drops a bunch of exploding eggs in a line. The shadows are pretty obvious and they don't really cause much damage. The friendly fire will also kill any bugs too.
  3. Just move forward and kill the bugs in the line. Smash the hives too.
  4. Once you reach the end, you'll see a data post. Activate it and dig the rocket launcher out of the snow.
  5. Switch back to the machine gun and then jump through the hole in the ground by the corpse.
  6. There are about 12-15 hives in here with a whole lot of bugs. The good news is that you're safe.
  7. If you hadn't fallen before, notice that he shoots a grappling hook to stop himself from falling. Lower yourself down a bit and start clearing the room.
  8. Throw grenades and shoot explosive barrels to clear the floor. If you want, you can clear the hives on the walls by using your machine gun. Once the area is mostly clear, drop to the floor.
  9. Run through the door and consider grabbing the plasma grenade pack ahead.
  10. The next room has NEVEC soldiers in it. They're a bit tougher than pirates and carry rifles. Be careful.
  11. Use the rocket launcher to take out the VS by the door. Play hide-and-seek with it by ducking out for a quick shot. Then duck back into the hallway and reload. Once it's dead, switch to the machine gun and clear the enemies on the back right platform.
  12. There's another VS in here, but the fight just isn't worth it. Once the obvious guards are dead, run up to the platform at the back right corner. Shoot your way to the little hallway and run through.
  13. The next area is a little cargo spot. The big moth does a passover when you run out.
  14. Drop down to the platform below and try to snipe some of the soldiers on the ledge ahead.
  15. When you're ready, drop down to the little platform on the track. Take a step back and line up a grappling hook shot to the ledge above. An exploding akrid destroys the track and you'll have to pull yourself up to the ledge. Do so.
  16. Clear out the soldiers left and move along the ledge to the little hanger.
  17. There's a nice VS here. It's the GTB-22, which has special jumping abilities. It also burns T-Eng really fast, so watch your meter.
  18. Shoot the few exploding akrid above and start working up the platforms.
  19. Use the double jump to get all the way to the top and eventually out through the roof.
  20. Jump out and activate the data post for some T-Eng. Then dig up the buried VS. It's the same jumping model you had before, but it will be at full health and it has a missile launcher.
  21. When you're ready, use the long jump ability to jump over the ledge behind you.

Bee Battle

  1. This is a little annoying boss. It has a lot of attacks, but it shouldn't be too rough.
  2. The first launches a bunch of little exploding trilids like missiles. The center pillar can provide cover.
  3. The second involves a ramming attack. This is very dangerous. It will almost destroy your VS. Get out of the way or take cover behind the pillar. The bee flies far away before it launches though, so you'll have some warning.
  4. The third flings a wave of rocks, but they don't do much damage to your VS.
  5. The final attack uses an exploding grenade which basically reigns explosives down unto you.
  6. The good news is that it doesn't really have much health. Just keep chipping away at it with the Gatling gun. Use the missiles, the rockets, or the laser rifle to hit it hard when it stops to hover.
  7. There are two other VS's lying around if your first one breaks.
  8. You'll win when it's dead.

Mountain Route 2

  1. This one is really easy.
  2. Just move up the platforms. The only enemies throughout the first part are bugs and their hives. A giant moth circles ahead. As it passes over, it cause a strong wind to knock down rocks, bugs, and you. Take cover in the little rooms if you see rocks rolling down the mountain.
  3. Other than that, it's simple. Just clear a path through the bugs and use the grappling hook to grab the next platform. Rinse and repeat until you make it to the top.
  4. One spot may give you a little trouble. It's a little pole sticking out of the mountain. You can't stand on it. Use the grappling hook to grab it, and as you are pulled up, try to move forward. You'll jump over it and onto the next platform below.
  5. As you near the top, you'll see a laser rifle. Grab it if you want to kill the giant moth. This counts for an Xbox 360 achievement. It's also pretty cool.
  6. Go all the way to the top and get a fully charged shot with the laser rifle. Hit the moth square in the tail as it flies over. Remember to aim ahead. A good blast or two should cause it to burst and then crash into the wall beside you.
  7. Note: Watch your T-Eng while you try this. Fully charged laser rifle blasts take up a lot of power.
  8. Once you're done, just walk straight ahead into the cave.
  9. There's a bunch of trilids in here. Special spore akrid and bees are here too. The good news is that you'll get a VS quick. Move up the ramp and don't be deceived by the vastness of the cave. Most of the tunnels are just red herrings.
  10. Move up and kill the spores and bees. Neither are particularly hard while you're in the VS.
  11. There are also several thermal spike traps on the ceiling. Shoot them to make them fall before you're under them.
  12. Once you reach the top, duck into the little cave. Swap into the fresh VS up here. It has dual Gatlings and the ability to hover. It's a good upgrade for the boss fight.
  13. Walk out the tunnel and activate the data post up ahead. It's pointing to the little ledge just below you. Hover over to it and go under the purple crystal. Drop down.
  14. There's another drop up ahead. Just keep falling down until you end up in a big room with a blue crystal at the center.
  15. The rooms to the left and right have ammo and thermal energy for the fight. I suggest you stock up on Gatling ammo.
  16. When you're ready, go through the door directly ahead.

Chryatis Battle

  1. This is basically just a big chryatis. The only difference is that it has an extra eight little arms below the two big claws. The weak spot is also on the top of the head, not the belly.
  2. This isn't too hard, since there's only one strong attack and it doesn't use it often.
  3. It has several attacks.
  4. The arms can swipe at you.
  5. The arms can also pull down a big rockslide. This is the only really strong attack it has. It can take about 1/3 of your life. It doesn't use it often though, which is good because it's really hard to dodge.
  6. The rest are two ice attacks. It can breathe an ice beam or shoot pieces of ice out at you. Neither is practically damaging.
  7. The key to this battle is staying aggressive. Just keep shooting. Blast the little weak spot on one of the big arms. While it's paralyzed in pain from the hit, blow off the other. You now have several seconds to just hammer the head with dual Gatling fire.
  8. Tip: There are thermal spikes above the chryatis. You can shoot these to make them fall right onto the chryatis for a lot of damage. Try to time it right though. It's not always under them.
  9. Just repeat this process until it dies.
  10. If you lose a VS, there are several other around.

Green Eye Returns

  1. This whole section is just a bunch of street fighting.
  2. There's a bunch of NEVEC soldiers guarding the path.
  3. This part really depends on a lot of luck. Hopefully, one of the NEVEC soldiers will drop a plasma rifle. If not, it's going to get pretty hard.
  4. The first half of this straight stretch isn't too bad. Just leapfrog from cover to cover and kill the NEVEC soldiers in the road.
  5. The problems are at the end. One VS is waiting on a platform by the big arch. It loves to shoot rockets at you.
  6. There's also a rocket turret position past the arch on the balcony straight ahead.
  7. Together, these create a good killzone that will do a whole lot of damage.
  8. If you have a plasma rifle, great. Snipe the VS and use the grappling hook to activate the data post it's guarding. Then snipe the gunner ahead.
  9. If you don't have one yet, run right up next to the VS platform. Then throw a few grenades up from your little safe zone.
  10. If you don't get a plasma rifle before the first turret, just grapple up to the level and shoot the gunner at point blank range. You can even use the turret if you want.
  11. There's another rocket station around the curve to the left. I really hope you have a rifle by now. If not, just repeat the last tactic.
  12. Grapple up the platform by the second turret. There's a VS rocket launcher and a normal rocket launcher.
  13. These could come in handy. As soon as you approach the end of the street, a VS drops in and starts shooting. It's actually a tough model, so it's a little difficult on foot.
  14. Just use the rockets to get in a few soldier hits. The archway provides good cover. It is also possible to just shoot it about 20 times with the plasma rifle while running erratically, trust me.
  15. There's just a few NEVEC soldiers left. Use whatever you have to kill the them and take the little tunnel to the right. Go through and grapple up to the next level.
  16. It's time for the boss fight.

Green Eye

  1. This can be hard or easy. It depends on your skill with a VS.
  2. Note: You can't switch to another VS or get out. If your VS is destroyed, you're dead. Thankfully, it is a good VS.
  3. First things first, walk down and grab some ammo on your way to the fight. Stick to dual Gatlings.
  4. Green Eye isn't too tough at first. He just has a few attacks.
  5. Green Eye can do a lot of charge attacks. He can go forwards, backwards, and generally lash out at you to do damage. Just jump or dash out of the way.
  6. The other attack is just a big shower of ice shards. These can do a lot of damage, as the first hit immobilizes you for the rest of the shower. Just rush forward and keep moving. They should all land a bit behind you.
  7. The tactics for this fight aren't that difficult. Green Eye has eight glowing red and your Gatlings need to pop them.
  8. This is easiest when Green Eye stops to turn around in a corner. Green Eye can also ram walls and stun himself.
  9. Stick to the upper level in the center. It isn't a perfect safe zone, but you'll have a lot of height and mobility against his attacks.
  10. Note: Be very careful with your T-Eng. All your maneuvers will burn it up quickly. Remember to break the fuel tanks and pick up the pools of T-Eng left from the destroyed weak spots.
  11. Jump off the deck and hover sideways to rake Green Eye's sides with gunfire.
  12. Once these eight are popped, another four open up on the forehead. Repeat the process and pop these.
  13. The whole fight changes here. Your Gatlings are now worthless. The only way to damage Green Eye is with high explosives to the big glowing forehead. Grab the grenade launcher from the center deck and pick up a rocket launcher from the side.
  14. Green Eye is also in a dying berserk stage. All of the attacks are much stronger. Finish him off quickly.
  15. Use the center platform as cover, then hover to line up a solid shot on the forehead. Blast him with the explosives until he dies.

Caravan Ambush

  1. There are a lot of ways to pull off this first area. I'll just give you my personal favorite.
  2. Note: There is no actual time limit. The caravan of VS's just take up defensive positions ahead.
  3. Activate the data post for some much needed T-Eng. Then run forward past the elevated platform. Pick up the rocket launcher.
  4. Run forward and resist firing. The NEVEC soldiers have to be pretty close to recognize you.
  5. If you are spotted and stuck by the damaged semi-truck, grapple up to the ledge and wield the VS grenade launcher. It can take out about everything in your half of the field.
  6. Otherwise, just shoot forward a bit further to the red garages. Blow the doors of both of them for access to a VS and a full armory.
  7. It's pretty straightforward now. Clear the field. The tough spots are the rocket launcher just ahead of you and the VS with the laser rifle near the starting area.
  8. It's also possible that the caravan is still close by. They have dual EM lasers, so watch out.
  9. If your VS is destroyed, there are two more in the other two hangers.
  10. A forth is by the fuel tanks by the field's exit point.
  11. The point is that you should be able to dodge fire and switch VS's until the battle is won.
  12. Walk out of the field onto the ledge, preferably in a fresh VS.
  13. The caravan is here along with some more NEVEC soldiers and guards. Just watch out for the cliff to your left, you don't want to fall off.
  14. Just rinse and repeat old strategies. Jump to dodge fire and swap into one of the VS's lying around if yours is destroyed.
  15. Keep fighting until you come to the bunker at the end.
  16. Three more bike VS's come out. Waste them quickly and move into the bunker. Go down the tunnel and come to the closed metal door. Turn a bit to the left to trigger the cutscene.
  17. You are now back in the field where the worm was. Most of the area's cleared out though.
  18. Note: Your T-Eng has been reset to 1,000.
  19. Activate the data post and jump into the nice VS just past it. Start fighting across the field and to the right.
  20. Some big chryatis are still here. Just use the standard tactics. If you run into an armored chryatis, just shoot until the armor on the arms break and it's business as usual.
  21. Tip: You can also just jump and hover past it all.
  22. The goal is that stairway you saw before during Mission 3.
  23. It's just past the field and to the right.
  24. Jump over the fence and jump over the two VS onto the bottom of the stairway.
  25. Jump out of your VS and run up to the door for another cutscene.
  26. Time for a little more action.
  27. Run down the hall and shoot the NEVEC guard. Look out over the rail and see the metal door by the two rocket turrets. That's your goal.
  28. Jump down the hole in the center to surprise the two guards below.
  29. The rest is pretty easy. Those pretty, red lights are the laser from sentry bots. If you touch one laser, it sets off the bot's combat protocol. A few more from the area come to help it fight you. Try to not touch the lasers.
  30. You'll probably trigger at least one though. If that happen just crouch in a corner and pull out your weapon. Plasma rifles and machine guns work well. Wait until they open to fire and unload a full clip into the red sensor. They'll crash and burn.
  31. Tip: If you get a plasma rifle early, you can pull a little trick. Shoot the sentry once in the armor to get its attention. Then shoot it in the sensor when it turns around to find you. One or two shot will kill it from a distance.
  32. Stick to the right and stay high to avoid the laser trap. Grapple over to the walkway on the right and fight your way through the NEVEC soldiers. This should be pretty familiar by now. The worst you'll have to do is grapple up a level and jump over a pillar.
  33. If you do this right, you'll be on the platform with the rocket turrets. You are also too close for them to do much damage. Run past or shoot the gunner just to be sure.
  34. Ignore the metal door to the right. Shoot the elevated metal door in front of you, then grapple up. Blow up the tanks and then jump into the VS. The elevator takes you to the boss fight.

Crab VS Fight

  1. Your VS has a Gatling gun and a rocket launcher. This is a decent way to fight the crab.
  2. If you are an aggressive pilot though, I suggest you swap out the rocket launcher for the shotgun on the first little box. That's what I did.
  3. There is no amazing weak spot. The area below the central turret is one, but it's a little hard to hit.
  4. There are only a few attacks. It can ram you and it can shock you along with the sentries above it. That's about it. Use the boxes for cover and keep moving.
  5. The idea is to pound away at it with Gatling fire. If it stops for a moment, you can go blow for blow with it using the shotgun. This does a surprising amount of damage.
  6. Otherwise, just keep shooting. If your VS is destroyed, you'll have to finish on foot. I suggest you grab a VS rocket launcher for the corner and grapple to the top of one of the boxes. Then, just fire away.
  7. This long mission is over when it dies.

Volcano Dome Facility

  1. The first part is a straightforward path. Shoot through the trilids and blow up the hives. Grapple up to the top of the truck and spot the scorpion.
  2. This is the training stage for this akrid. Either use a grenade or shoot off it's tail to make it flip over. Give it a belly full of lead to finish it off.
  3. When you advance through the warehouse, another scorpion will fall down and ambush you. Just blow off it's tail as usual.
  4. Advance. Another new akrid is ahead in the room. These bugs launch little flaming rocks at you. They're still bugs though. Just shoot them a few times and blow up the hive.
  5. This next part is pretty variable. Keep an eye on the hole above you. A scorpion can knock those pipes down on top of you.
  6. You can take the high road, but I don't find it rewarding. Just stick to the left.
  7. Blow up the fire bugs while watching your back. More of them appear behind you occasionally.
  8. Run down the ramp and enter the next area with more fire bugs and scorpions. Repeat your usual tactics.
  9. You have a bit of a choice here. There should be a drilling machine below this structure. This VS is powerful, but not very maneuverable. I personally didn't like it. If you want, you can fetch it now and use it for the next part.
  10. Otherwise, just follow the walkway to the door to the right. There's a VS waiting behind the door. Use it to kill the two bees to your right. Then continue to the lava flow area.
  11. Walk through the first lava room and witness about a hundred trilid and a bee swarming over the bridge you need to cross.
  12. Whip out the Gatling and thin the swarm. Once they're mostly gone, just walk across the bridge and out the door.
  13. There's a whole area ahead full of dongos, scorpions, chryatis, and bees. They're large too. The reason I told you to stick with the normal VS is apparent now. Use the hover options to jump and hover over the hordes. It's just about three leaps ahead and to the left. Aim for the green door to the left.
  14. Note: There's another door to the right, but it doesn't really change much and I think it's a bit harder to get to it.
  15. The swarms of akrid around a lava stream are now swarms of VS around a lava stream.
  16. Run forward on the bridge and grapple to the top of the truck. Use your machine gun to kill the NEVEC soldiers ahead. As usual, hope that one of them drops a plasma rifle.
  17. If they don't, then you need to change strategy. There are two tough VS's at the end of the bridge. If you don't have any way to fight them, you should just jump off and fall to the other bridge below. They shouldn't chase.
  18. This whole area ahead is almost impossible to explain. It's basically just one big circle with lava running through it. The problem is that there aren't any good landmarks for navigation. You'll have to look around for yourself.
  19. The best I can say is that you should look for the bridge blocked by crates and walk directly away from it.
  20. At one end, there's a free VS with homing lasers and an EM laser. Look for it in a little recess past a bridge. Run and gun to it as soon as you can.
  21. The rest of this level is now much easier. Head to the opposite side of the area, toward the blocked bridge. Use the homing lasers to pick off all of the VS's in the area.
  22. Tip: The guard VS on the platform by the bridge is tough. The platform it's standing on isn't. Put a few shots into the platform and it will break apart and drop the VS into the lava.
  23. Once the other shore is relatively clear, jump and hover across.
  24. There's one last problem. A driller VS is waiting inside the tunnel to ambush you. If you're lucky, you can jump over it and just run through to save health.
  25. If you're unlucky, like me, its cannon will destroy your VS with four shots at close range.
  26. If this happens, just run through and drop to the hole. Go across the tunnel and grapple up a level. Grab the EM laser. You'll want to have at least one for the fight ahead. Two if you can.
  27. Go up to the top and start moving toward the big room. One VS uses a homing laser, so try to kill that one fast. Close to point blank range to render the weapon ineffective. Nothing spectacular after that though. One VS here and two more in the next room.
  28. Clear out both rooms with your usual VS magic and grab a fresh VS in the first room. Try to equip it with two EM lasers. Gatlings are basically worthless in the next fight.
  29. Tip: The second room has tons of fuel tanks. Stock up on T-Eng now.
  30. When you're ready, fly through the opening at the top of the second room to start a boss fight.

Driller VS Fight

  1. This is just one big driller VS.
  2. Tip: On the first playthrough, you can kill the three VS's on the floor from a safe distance at the top before you trigger the driller. I suggest you do so.
  3. Tip: Always kill the three little drillers first so that you don't have to dodge vulcan cannon fire constantly.
  4. The fight itself isn't all that hard. Just dodge his attacks and you're fine.
  5. The bad news is that when it's in driller form, you can't damage it. Just dodge the drill ram by jumping to the second level with the VS's.
  6. The only other attacks involve the drillers vulcan cannons and missile launchers. Just fly and hover to avoid the attack while firing back.
  7. Note: The one problem is that the battle causes the lava to be exposed as tiles are destroyed. Falling in here is an quick and permanent death if you don't jump out quickly.
  8. The only spot you can attack effectively is one at the center turret box. This is the one between the four legs. Try to hit it right below the turret.
  9. The best strategy is to hit it with fully charged EM lasers once it switches back. Rinse and repeat. If your VS is destroyed, switch to a new one and grab the grenade launcher from the center area. It's particularly effective.
  10. Once it's dead, you've won.

Thermal Energy Deposit

  1. Get ready for a big fight.
  2. Run forward and grab the extra machine gun ammo, you might need. Start fighting the NEVEC soldiers while staying behind the cover of the truck.
  3. Once the first few are dead, grapple to the top of the sideways truck. There's a plasma rifle sniper in the guard tower ahead. Toss a grenade at it's legs to blow the whole thing up.
  4. Then pick off the other soldiers from the top of the truck. Drop down and run for the cover of the crates ahead. There's a rifle lying behind them too. Use the rifle with the cover of the crates to take out the NEVEC soldiers ahead.
  5. There should now be a ton of energy guns and plasma rifles lying around. Capture the data post and pick up one of each.
  6. Jump onto the top of the flatbed truck and start clearing out the area below. Use the plasma rifle to take out the rocket turrets while you move back and forth dodging the rockets and laser fire. Once the two turrets are down, switch to the energy gun and use a fully charged blast to knock the pilot out.
  7. Once this is done, move up to the hole in the wall and start sniping more soldiers below.
  8. Drop down once they're cleared out. Remember to just lightly step off of the road to use the grapple and descend slowly.
  9. When you touch the ground, several more soldiers will drop behind you. Waste them and start moving forward again. Several more soldiers are between you and the hangers at the back. Just work through them and watch the top ridge. Two more rocket turrets usually activate, so you may have to destroy those too.
  10. Shoot the door off of the hanger and grab the VS with the hover ability. It's the one with the shotgun and the Gatling.
  11. Walk out and grab the homing laser from the stockpile by the guard tower.
  12. Climb up the bridge and get to the little gap. There's just one more VS on a platform to kill on your side. Try to use the homing laser to pick off any of the VS's you see on the other side.
  13. You should be able to jump and hover over the lava river.
  14. Head up to the bunker facility and walk through the room. There's some exploding akrid ahead, so be careful.
  15. Work through the first room and fight your way into the second room. Drop into the empty lava flow in the center and get out of your VS. Walk forward and head down into the tunnel system.
  16. The best path is to grapple over to the data post and activate it. Then drop off to the right side and rappel to the platform below. Reply dow to the right again and reach the floor. Get into the driller and break through the first rock blockade.
  17. There are a bunch of ways through these tunnels. If you manage to keep the driller VS at the start alive, you can use it to drill through the parts blocked by rocks.
  18. Otherwise just pick a path and keep moving forward. There's dongo and some exploding bugs, but that's about it.
  19. The general pathway is that three dongo roll by. Kill them as usually.
  20. Tip: Remember to switch to the crab mode for battle.
  21. Go forward and to the right to blast through some exploding bugs. Then kill two more dongo and drop a level.
  22. You now have to blast through a bunch of spores. Be very careful. The tunnel too narrow to easily avoid the spore's attacks.
  23. At the end of the tunnel you can break through the rocks or take the path to the left to head out into a big hanger area.
  24. There are two red hangers. A big dongo will roll out of one. The other has a fresh driller. Kill the dongo and capture the data post at the little bridge.
  25. Just clear the path to the right and shoot the akrid web to open a path to the boss' room.

Spider Fight

  1. This is just a big spider. It has all the cliches of a normal spider fight that every action game uses.
  2. It uses one of it's four legs to stomp. Just move out of the way when it raises the leg.
  3. It can shoot a web that restricts you to either the inside or the outside of the arena. Just deal with it until you can blow out a leg. This will make it retract the web.
  4. It can do some type of a spitting attack that locks you in place. I only saw this when I jumped up to the second level post, just limit your time on the posts to avoid this.
  5. Finally, it drops a whole bunch of exploding bugs. These make playing the level on foot nigh impossible. In a VS, they're a joke. Just jump around to dodge their explosions.
  6. I suggest that you ditch the driller for a VS that can hover. The vulcan cannon on the driller is also too much of a T-Eng hog.
  7. Note: Watch your T-Eng here and remember to stock up from the tanks inside if you're running low.
  8. There are two VS's here, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finishing the fight.
  9. Just dodge the legs and keep your distance. Jump and hover as much as possible to avoid the bugs on the floor.
  10. Try to stick to a Gatling and a shotgun. A rocket launcher works well too.
  11. Use the Gatling to blow out two of the legs. Shoot the little orange band at the top. It's just like a chryatis.
  12. It then falls. If you're using the shotgun, close range and jump to hover. Then just blast away at the head. You should be able to take off a third of its health.
  13. The rocket launcher is the same method. You should have time for two shots. Stop before it gets up though.
  14. Just rinse and repeat until it dies.
  15. Mission Accomplished.

Showdown Below

  1. Note: This is the last real mission. Mission 11 is a five-minute boss fight.
  2. Walk forward and blow away the fuel tanks and stock up on T-Eng. Jump into the VS and get ready to fight.
  3. Use the dual Gatlings to take out the dongo and the scorpions below you. They aren't too hard. Stick to the upper level though and lure them to you. The sentry guns below can chip off a lot of your health.
  4. The sentry guns themselves aren't too hard or prevalent. You can blow up the individual guns or take out the control stalk. Just aim past the two on the left and shoot the stalk a bunch to blow it up.
  5. Then aim straight past the four guns on the right or just jump past them and blow away the little stalk behind them.
  6. Just ignore the hole in the floor. You usually just destroy your VS trying to find another one. Your current model is better anyway and you get to ditch it later.
  7. Climb up the ledges to get to the top and go through the tunnel. Fight down the pathway and enter the big abandoned city.
  8. There's a giant armored chryatis here. You can kill it with extensive firepower if you want, but it's a waste.
  9. Walk through the tunnel to the left and kill the bee in your way. Come out the end and jump over the trucks in your path. Avoid the chryatis outside and jump past another truck into a hole in the ground. Shoot the balloon akrid and drop down into the next tunnel.
  10. Go forward to the little safe zone. Blow up the fuel tanks and activate the data post to stock up on T-Eng. Then swap your VS for the fresh one here.
  11. Go through the door ahead for the mid-level boss fight.

Squid Fight

  1. Some like to describe this as a slug. I'm calling it a squid. It's actually a really easy boss fight once you know what you have to do.
  2. It can swing its two feelers around to hit you. Just dodge them.
  3. It can also shoot missiles from it's mouth. They just go in a straight arc though, meaning that they're easy to dodge. Just go forward or to the side.
  4. Jump out of your VS and grab a rocket launcher from the side. You'll need a personal rocket launcher in a second.
  5. Then use the Gatling gun on the VS to blow up the claw on one of the feelers. As it recedes, follow it into the hole.
  6. Send two rockets straight into the glowing red stub. This will cause it to burn and stay dead. The claw will respawn if you're not fast enough.
  7. Rinse and repeat for the other claw.
  8. You are probably about done with your first VS. Swap into the nice one right by the left feeler hole. It has an EM laser.
  9. Now just fly around and wait. The mouth opens fairly often to shoot a bunch of missiles.
  10. Just keep hitting it with a full EM blast. It'll be dead in a few seconds.
  11. Tip: Don't even worry much about his missiles. You'll dish out damage faster than he can.

NEVEC Base

  1. This is stage two. Your T-Eng and Life have been reset.
  2. Turn right and charge a full EM blast. Blow up the control stalk as soon as you see the two turrets. Rinse and repeat with the next corner.
  3. The main area is just one big battlefield. Some trilids, a dongo, and an armored chryatis are fighting a few VS's and some NEVEC soldiers. You can fight them or you can ignore them. The chryatis will actually keep two of the VS's pretty occupied for the fight.
  4. If you want a new VS you can grab a good one off of the nearby truck or from the hanger on the second level. Another good grab lies in the middle of the field.
  5. Basically, just punch a whole through to either one of the access points to the next area.
  6. There is a tunnel on the second level just in front of your entrance. You may also go forward and to the left around the corner to go through a truck bay into the next area.
  7. Either way is fine.
  8. The next area is for VS storage.
  9. My suggestion is that you waste a VS or two clearing out the enemy VS's in the area. I counted three, which included a driller VS. Try to take them out quickly.
  10. The reason you should do this is to have a full health VS available for the boss fight. If you don't kill them, they'll chip away at your health and have you enter a fight with a damaged VS.
  11. Once you're ready and in a good VS, drop down the hole at the backed and walk through the opened airlock.

Bandero Fight

  1. Bandero is piloting a nice VS. Just remember one important fact. He has one VS, you have your current model and two backups.
  2. Bandero has three main attacks.
  3. The first is just a Gatling attack. Take cover behind a pillar and listen for the gunfire to end.
  4. The second is a rocket attack. He'll launch two missiles at you. Use pillars for cover to make them harmlessly explode.
  5. The third is the dangerous one. He can do a super-special electric drill charge attack. You are rammed, immobilized, and then shocked and drilled. It takes away at least half your health. Use the pillars to get away from his attempts to ram you.
  6. Tip: There's only one way to get away from the electric charge if he pins you. The shotgun can be used occasionally during the attack. A point blank blast will set you free.
  7. There isn't a magic way to beat Bandero. Just keep an eye on him and use the radar to watch his movements. Blast him with the EM laser, the grenade launcher, the rocket launcher, etc. He's particularly vulnerable after a charge.
  8. Just keep firing until he dies.

Final Fight

  1. Alright. The entire VS mechanics just changed, so take a second to familerize yourself with the new scheme.
  2. PC users know that the designers didn't change the tutorial screens for PC controls, so I'll explain them now.
  3. WASD all work the same, except you can tilt the mouse to move up and down somewhat.
  4. X causes you to ascend quickly. Spacebar causes you to descend quickly.
  5. Z is a weak chaingun laser. It's offensive power is equivalent to spitting on his armor. Don't use it for anything, unless you're going for the target markers.
  6. Left Mouse Button needs to be held down. When you hold it, you prepare your sword. This burns a lot of T-Eng, so don't hold it for too long. When you release it, you'll do a horizontal sword slash.
  7. Right Mouse Button is the same as the left. It just does a vertical sword slash.
  8. The vertical slash tends to work better, since you'll lock onto Isenberg and get a better hit. The horizontal slash can still hit him if he moves though. Switch between them as necessary.
  9. At the start, just fly to the top by quickly ascending. There's no reason to fight the bots in here.
  10. Once you're out of the elevator, Isenberg will approach you for a cutscene and the final fight.
  11. Isenberg has a few attacks.
  12. He'll use his chaingun, which does a lot of damage (unlike your gun). Just fly to the left or right steadily to dodge the fire.
  13. He also launches two slow missiles. Just keep flying and they'll burn out after about five seconds.
  14. Note: The elevator can shot lasers at you as well. Watch out for the cannons.
  15. About halfway through the fight, he'll call up an orbital cannon. This one fires a spreading shot of about 4 beams along a horizontal line. Move out of its line of fire or rapidly ascend to dodge it.
  16. He'll also call up a second orbital cannon in a few more seconds. This one fires a large vertical beam that does a lot of damage.
  17. If both are called up, move up and to the side to dodge them.
  18. Note: Watch out for the invisible wall on the level. If you aren't moving away from Isenberg while you're flying, you are probably against a wall. Change direction to avoid damage.
  19. His last move is a series of yellow homing lasers. Dodge them for a few seconds until they run out.
  20. Your offensive strategy is pretty simple. Fly erratically and pray. All the skill in the world won't stop a random shot from the platform cannon taking away 1/3 of your health.
  21. The best move is to wait until he stops moving and attacks. As soon as the attack ends or he stops moving, he'll usually stay still for a few second. Get a good slash in quick for a lot of damage. Then fly away and pretty to dodge his counter attack.
  22. Once the cannons are in play, you need to be extra careful and dodge their fire. They can quickly take away a lot of your health if you're trapped between them.
  23. Also, it will probably take you a few tries. Thankfully, the level is short and you start at the top of the elevator.
  24. Tip: Always charge Isenberg at the start. He won't attack in the starting position. If you move quickly, you can get a free shot.
  25. Once he's dead, you win.
  26. Enjoy the ending.
