Lorrie Morgan is a country singer whose longstanding popularity scored her three number one hits, "What Part of No", "Five Minutes" and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," in the 1990s. Lorrie performed at the Grand Ole Opry when she was thirteen years old.

In October of 2008, Morgan filed for bankruptcy due to business-related debts, estimated at somewhere between $1 million and $10 million.¹

Trivia

Daughter of Grand Ole Opry legend George Morgan.

Her father died of a heart attack in 1975, when Lorrie was 16 years old.

Her song, "Leave the Light On", was written and sung in memory of her late husband, country singer Keith Whitley.

Many of Lorrie's songs appear in the documentary The Brandon Teena Story (1998).
