Guide Note

The lilac is a deciduous shrub that is part of the olive family (Oleaceae). It is classified into 7 different colors: White, Lilac, Pink, Violet, Magenta, Purple, and Blue. The wood of the lilac is used for musical instruments and knife handles.

It is among the most recognizable springtime flowers because of its flower clusters and its sweet fragrance.
